Bitext/Amazon Connect: how to connect with our services

These days we are talking about our partnership with Amazon Connect. But how can you benefit of it? We want to explain it now. Using our new AWS services for Amazon Connect is very simple.

Setting up a new Instant LexBot:

1. Go to the AWS Marketplace and subscribe to the Instant LexBot service corresponding to the vertical/industry you want.
2. Once you are subscribed, you will be taken to our Developer Portal, where you can find a link to a CloudFormation template.
3. Instantiate the CloudFormation, changing the name of the bot if needed. This will create a new Lex bot, which will be automatically connected to our fallback service (included in your Instant LexBot subscription).
4. Edit the config.ini included in the Lambda function (or link to an external one in an S3 bucket) to customize the bot responses to suit your preferences.
5. Configure the fulfillment section of each intent to connect it to your back-end processes, as needed.
6. Publish the Lex bot and connect it to your Amazon Connect instance following the instructions.

Connecting an existing Lex bot to LexBot Booster:

1. Go to the AWS Marketplace and subscribe to the LexBot Booster service corresponding to the vertical/industry you want.
2. Once you are subscribed, you will be taken to our Developer Portal, where you can find a link to a CloudFormation template.
3. Instantiate the CloudFormation, changing the name of the Lambda function if needed. This will create a new Lambda function ready to be connected to your bot.
4. If your bot does not already have a fallback intent, add one in the Lex console by creating a new intent of type AMAZON.FallbackIntent. Make sure to disable the "Clarification prompts" checkbox in the "Error Handling" section of the intent.
5. Customize the config.ini included in the Lambda function (or link to an external one in an S3 bucket) to map the LexBot Booster intent names to the ones in your bot.
6. Publish the Lex bot and connect it to your Amazon Connect instance following the instructions here.
